Zontag By Gary War

Mining 2009.sxsw.com, Vol. 1

Time to start mining 2009.sxsw.com for some nuggets of gold. Why not start with a man who has an invalid Myspace ID?... Gary War.

Dig the lofisynthpunk.

The Bone Men By Mason Proper

Mason Proper performed the Olly Oxen Free album in it's entirety last night at The Bowery Ballroom. You can listen to the whole album here (do it right now). Please note, their atmospheric indie pop is slightly more revved up and rockin' when performed live. Next time these boys are in town, make sure you get off yer ass and see them even if it is on a Tuesday night.

Some crappy pictures I took are... here.

I have a feeling there will be some video of the show over at PTST sometime soon.

Here is a song they did NOT play last night.
