When Your Mask Is Your Revealing Feature By The Oranges Band

The Oranges Band's newest album... The Oranges Band Are Invisible is gonna have it's official release (I think) later this year, but you can already get your hands on it here or here. In case you missed it, I posted one track from the album last year. Here is another track with a pretty different feel to it. I can't quite put my finger on the reference Mr. Kuebler is making here. It will come to me sometime after the post goes up. Anyway, listen to this...

To The Stars! To The Night! By Le Loup

I saw Le Loup open last night for Stereolab. Even though they are down two band members (or was it three?) AND there were some issues with Sam's electronics, they pulled off a great show. It was much more rockin' than the recorded Le Loup, but hey that's fine with me.

The McLaughlin Group By Andrew WK

Did you listen to "Andrew WK on Fair Game" (box.net mp3) when I posted about it... here? If not, you missed some best the 50 some odd seconds of "over-the-top rockulism" this year.

Listen: "The McLaughlin Group" (box.net mp3)

This is the lyrical core of the song:

If it happens Pat
May he rest in piece peace
Death comes in the night
On little cat's feet
The next man on the moon will be Chinese

Listen to the whole Fair Game clip (above) to find out what it means. As to getting it out of your head, that's your problem.
