So, are Yo La Tengo moonlighting as lofi garagerockers the Condo Fucks? Yeah, that's what it looks like. I mean THIS pretty much nails it. Right? The album proper (named Fuckbook) doesn't hit for a while... Feb 2009 methinks. This here track was on the Matador Intended Play Sampler for Fall 2008. I meant to post it earlier, but I was trying to get my blog declared a bank so I could get some of that sweet sweet bailout money.

Today, I have for you the latest We Versus The Shark cover. The song covered was originally played by a band from Oxfordshire. The cover is a slowed down thrashy recreation. And yes, there is a superfluous "h" in the title of the cover.

Black Albino Bones By Fucked Up

Fucked Up is playing a 12 hour show in NYC. The deets are here.

According to Matablog:
"On Tuesday, October 14, from 2PM until 2 AM, the band will be playing a twelve-hour show at the Rogan store at the corner of Bowery and Bond. Admission is free. All ages are welcome to attend, though the free alcohol will be limited to those 21 and over."

"Everything With You" sounds like an amalgamation of, well definitely MBV, but also a whole bunch of late 80's-early 90's college rock. At the same time, it does NOT sound dated. The b-side is the 'anthem' entitled, um... "The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart." Dig it.
